This photo workshop is centered on a convergence of thousands of bald eagles in the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland of British Columbia. Your instructor(s) for this workshop will guide you to the best locations for photographing the eagles in the Fraser Valley that is surrounded by the Cascade Mountain range. You will be provide detailed instruction on how to capture your perfect landscape photo and eagle shots by your instructors .four
The workshop begins near Mission, BC, with its large congregation of bald eagles during the winter months. We begin the workshop with a welcome meeting on the night before as we get to know everyone and discuss the plans for the coming days.
For the next three days we will make frequent visit to the different viewing grounds. Once on site, your instructors will utilize their knowledge of the area and the eagles; then guide you to that perfect location for obtaining your “once in a lifetime” shot in the picturesque British Columbia scenery.
We will also head out to some of BC's pristine landscape photography locations in the lower mainland of British Columbia.
The workshop size is limited to ten photographers so you can count on personalized attention throughout your journey in British Columbia. In addition to our time spent in the “field”, you will learn basic photographic editing techniques and have opportunity to have your photographs reviewed with your instructors for feedback.

Pick Up attendees from the Abbotsford Airport in Abbotsford, British Columbia and transported to our Hotel in Harrison Hot Springs.
Meet and Greet Dinner for group at resort
Possible photography shoot along the sandy shoreline of Harrison Lake during the golden hour, blue hour or night time.

During the workshop, we will discuss subjects in detail, such as:
Achieving the best composition
Proper Exposure for the scene
Focus techniques for that crisp image
Getting the most out of the histogram
Mastering the modes (When to shoot Manual, Aperture and Shutter Priorities)
Filters
Taking images for HDR (High Dynamic Range)
Image workup techniques with Photoshop. Each workshop we demonstrate working up attendees images from scratch, displaying our non-destructive techniques to produce the highest quality image.
Advanced Photoshop techniques.
Group Reviews. Every evening we review select images from each guest offering new ideas to try the next day to expand your skills and take you to the next level.
The cost for the four day, three night workshop is $1995

Prior to embarking on your journey, you will receive a phone consultation with your instructor for guidance on what equipment to bring, detailed questions on the locale, and general photography questions.
A welcome meeting with your fellow photographers and your guides

Instruction in the field with your photographer guides with a maximum of 5 photographers per guide

To reserve a spot on one of these workshops, a $500 deposit per reservation. All workshop payments to your instructors and for accomodation must be made 90 days prior to the start of the workshop.
