Membership Information

Membership comes with its benefits and I have outlined what those benefits are below.

Guests may attend two scheduled "Lounge" meetings at a fee of $10/meeting before being required to become a member, but they cannot take advantage of any of the membership perks and discounts. Guests should register upon arrival if you are not a member.

Benefits of Membership - All members of the “Photographer’s Lounge” will receive a "Membership Card" that will entitle them to discounts on the following products and services from the time you register to the end of the meeting season in April of the following year:

Through our relationships we have access to many international photographers. Each year we periodically bring in guests where you will have the opportunity to talk to them one on one. In 2012 we brought into Canada, published Author and professional Photographer Rick Sammon from New York. Scheduled to be running workshops and tours in 2013 and 2014 are Rick Sammon, Hal Schmitt, Tim Vollmer and Denise Ippolito… as the schedule permits, some of these speakers, and others yet to be announced, will swing by the Lounge and talk to our group.

To become a member, the following is the information on how to register your membership for the 2013/2014 Season

Annual fees are $69.50 plus HST per person.

$42.50 plus HST per full-time student over 16 yrs of age, a veteran or senior (65+).

If you and your spouse want to join we also have a family option of $97.50 plus HST for a maximum of three members that live in the same house.

You can pay via cash, cheque or paypal (a 3.5% surcharge will apply for paying via PayPal online. That surcharge has been added to the PayPal payment option below for your convenience)

Cheques payable to “ The Photographer’s Lounge ” can be mailed to: 100 Barrie Street, Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, N1S 3A9 .

Once we receive your payment you will receive a welcome letter, information document that you are required to fill out and you will be placed on the member list. You will also immediately begin receiving our "Tips and Tutorials", "New Product Information" and be entitled to "membership discounts".

Your "Membership Benefits" begin from the moment you register and are active till the end of our meeting season in which you registered. For example, any member registering in February of 2013 will have an active membership until April 30, 2014. You will be required to renew your membership after April 30, 2014 in order to activate your membership for the following year.

Membership Numbers

Currently our membership needs to be capped at 175 members so our current meeting room can handle all members that wish to attend our meetings.

When we purchase or lease a permanent location with professional photo studios, editing suites and a meeting room the limitations on membership will not be enforced.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your annual membership prior to August 30th, 2013 you will receive a 50% discount as we have already incurred costs based on the number of members that have registered.

If you cancel your annual membership after August 30th, 2013 you will not receive a refund for your membership.
